IBA Committee Application
IBA is a professional and social organization whose mission is to educate its domestic and international members about international business. In order to better serve this mission, members will now have the opportunity to serve on a committee. We hope you’ll consider the opportunity to take a more active and influential role in IBA.
About the Committees
Programming Committee
The Programming Committee is in charge of coordinating all aspects of meetings. They will invite and coordinate guest speakers, both from the professional sphere and from the pool of international students, arrange professional development presentations, and choose weekly international business-related topics to discuss.
Events Committee
The Events Committee coordinates all aspects of IBA trips to in-state globally-oriented businesses. The committee will likely plan between 2 and 4 business trips per semester.
Social Committee
The Social Committee coordinates all aspects of IBA non-business related trips. These will be socially-oriented and geared towards fostering relationships between domestic and international members. The committee will also plan and coordinate 2 to 3 socials per month.
International Student Outreach Committee
The International Student Outreach Committee will be in charge of the Buddy Program, ensuring that incoming international students are linked with domestic IBA members, and that each international student experiences the most comfortable transition to A&M possible. The ISO Committee will also coordinate IBA intramurals.
Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee will design and order IBA apparel for IBA members and international students. They will also market IBA as a whole to the student body at Texas A&M through the MSC and Mays Open Houses, IBA branding, and social media campaigns.
Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee is tasked with managing IBA monies and spearheading fundraising efforts. The committee will be responsible for applying for special funding grants for budgetary items and trips.
